What to do about the Nitrogen cycle without test kits or strips?
I got a new aquarium 3 1/2 days ago. I am now flat broke and can't afford testing materials to regulate the Nitrogen cycle. Should I do a 25% water change every two or three days until I can get the test materials?
Have you added an ammonia source yet as you need to make sure you keep the ammonia between 3 and 5 pmm when cycling any higher and it wont work .
My advice is wait until you get a liquid test kit then cycle your tank .

well i got my second holes pierced in my ears six weeks ago from saturday and the piercer said i can replace them after six weeks as long as i keep something in there for six weeks but i'm nervous if i take it out it'll hurt to put them back in or it'll close. sometimes i hit them when i'm taking out my first hole and it hurts. i know they're not infected. is it a good idea to replace them?

Yes, as long as you immediately replace the earring with a new one, or else it could close up. Keep in mind, everyone heals differently. Six weeks is the standard period for healing to occur. I'm assuming you got a second lobe piercing. Otherwise, a cartilage piercing takes 12 weeks before you can take the earring out and replace it.

Lately when I lay down to go to sleep I can feel my heart beating very hard. It sometimes misses a beat and when it catches up it beats real hard. It keeps me awake sometimes and I also can't go back to sleep when I wake up to pee. I don't drink alcohol or use any sort of drugs. I have high blood pressure which I take meds to control.
Feeling your heart beat is called "palpitations" and it can mean lots of things- from nervousness and anxiety downright to cardiac problems.
When your heart skips a beat and then the next one is hard, this is called a Premature ventricular contraction (PVC). This and the palpitations can be caused by anxiety. Are you stressed or anxious about something? Is there something happening in your life recently that can trigger this? Not only alcohol and "illicit drugs" can cause this, but so do increased levels of caffeine or other medications.
You should test your blood pressure regularly too. If the problem persists then it may mean something physical is wrong and it's not just psychological- visit your doctor as soon as possible.

Hello, I am 18 and I've been diabetic for my entire life. I keep a good A1C and control myself well but everyone has their bad moments. Sometimes I forget to wear my identification bracelet because I'm in a rush or due to other reasons. So I was thinking that getting a tattoo saying that I'm a diabetic and insulin dependent. I would want it to be noticeable in an emergency but very modest in every other situation. Does anybody have any suggestions?
Here is the thing. Emergency medical personnel are trained to look for medical identification on a bracelet or medallion...they are not trained to look for tattoos. It's a innovative idea, but as this is not what they are going to be looking for and will be more concerned with helping you stabilize or survive, reading a tattoo at the same site as a bracelet or medallion is something they could likely miss (unlike a bracelet or medallion). I called a friend of mine who is an EMT and this is what he said. I know it's not what you are looking for, but honestly, put your clothes for the next day out the night before and put your bracelet on top so you put it on first.
