He cries b/c of the severe burning. He is diabetic and has gout. I was told cherry juice would help. My mom washes his feet for him, and he takes pain medications that only put him to sleep.. Hehas to take other med for other conditions but he wants the Drs to take off his feet they hurt so bad. Im in GA so if anyone knows of a Dr that will help him or anything that we can do please let me know. I cant even sit with them and watch him go through the pain knowing i cant help him. Thanks

Clearly you need another physician and second opinion. Many outpatient hospital clinics have pain management centers. Maybe you have one near you.
Also consider any and all homeopathic alternatives you can think of. Your local library would have some good books. I have no idea if acupuncture would be helpful or if soaking his feet in some herbal remedy might work.
I'm thinking maybe an injection of corticosteroids, if he hasn't tried that for his feet already. It will provide some short-term relief and reduce the inflammation.

Having him sleep all the time is not an effective treatment for his illnesses, in my opinion. Darn doctors! There should be some middle ground for him between agony and sleep. They need to find it.

How can you tell which type of diabetes you have based on a urine sample?
The urine is tested for: the glucose level, protein, pH, and presence of blood. The sample had a glucose level of 2000+ mg/dL, no protein, a neutral pH of 7, and no traces of blood.
You can't!
As crazyowl has stated, urine does not give a level as quoted by yourself of the amount of glucose present in urine. It, generally, tells you that you have none ... which is good ... a small amount, a moderate amount, or a high amount of glucose.
Having glucose present in your urine does NOT necessarily mean that you have diabetes mellitus either. There are other conditions that can make you secrete glucose in this manner. You really need to speak with the doctor that requested your specimen to be tested.
