do you monitor your kids (up to 16 or so) internet, e-mail, phone callls and text messages? and also, do you keep track of what's in your kids' rooms incase they bring pot, cigs, precription drugs into your home?
there's so many bad stories in the news that would have been avoided if parents were strong enuf to put their foot down and look into what their kids were doing and saying in text messages, emails, phone calls and in instant messages. so, how many parents actually do this, how do you explain it to your kids, and how does your kids react to your monitoring?
heck yes! they wouldn't know it though, cause i'm the parent: i'm smarter than they are!
and nothing goes on in my house that i don't know about. if my kids want my trust, they'll earn it. my kids need to trust that i care for them, trust that i'll be there for them, trust that i won't allow this world or anyone else to hurt them, they do not need to trust that i'm not spying on them. there's 100 diffrent ways from Sunday for a teen to die in this messed up society we live in, and my kids will not be one of the honor roll students found in an alley, overdosed on meth or e.
i don't even tell my kids that they can trust me to NOT snoop on them. this isn't Degrassi High. This is real life. it's my job to protect them and steer them away from harm. what kind of parent would i be if i blindly let them make their own decisions, then found out that they were into bad things after the harm was already done? that would make me a bad parent, when i know i could have prevented whatever they got into by keeping an eye on their "techno communications" and giving their rooms a once over every now and again. kids have enuf friends. i'm not one of'em. i'm a parent. and since they've only got two of those, i need to be the best parent i can be.

My Pain Dr does urine screens to see how the meds are being metabolized. I failed 3 urine screens for THC. After flipping out I looked up some meds my family Dr has me on. One of those meds says in the lab test section of the description that it gives false positive results for THC urine screens. After the first time I failed they said don't worry, we will try again in two weeks. Two weeks later I failed again! I told them I don't do drugs. (I am sure they have heard that before) The third time I brought in the paperwork that comes with my medication and highlighted where it say that it gives false negatives for THC. They ask me why they should believe the paperwork. I asked them how else can I prove it?

I currently use a gel face mask, which I do pretty good with, but it is causing irritation on my face as well as leaving marks. The CPAP PRO is kept in place with a mouth piece, and uses nose pillows. I just ordered it even though my insurance company won't pay for it. I have read both good and bad reviews on it. Looking for more comments.
And it worked very well for him, keeping him breathing until his pacemaker quit on him. After that, I saw a cable program that was a "medical mystery" thing about this guy with trouble sleeping that CPAP was the solution. It does work. Only, you can't be kissed with it on.

I am 35 weeks, and at about 24 weeks I had a little protein in my urine and the doctor said from now on take my blood pressure every day to watch it. It has been good so far, but yesterday I got a high reading, the bottom number was 100. Today it is 108/94. The top number is normal,but usually my bottom number is in the 60s or 70s.
So my question is- what causes the bottom number to go up? Can it be something I did or ate today? He is worried about preeclampsia, so how often does my blood pressure need to be high to be considered "at risk"? It was high yesterday at two readings, and low at the other reading. Wouldn't it be high every time? And shouldn't my top number be going up too? Thanks!
I think the bottom number is the one doctors are most worried about. If it has suddenly started going up you should call your doctor and tell them. If your blood pressure is higher than usual your doctor would want to know about it. Good luck.
